Dear Pet Parents,
At Sit Social Daycare, your pup’s health and well-being are always our top priority. We want to keep you informed and proactive about your dog’s care, so we’re reaching out to share an update.
A few dogs who recently attended daycare have been seen by their veterinarians for Gastroenteritis, a common condition that causes stomach and intestinal inflammation.
Symptoms of Canine Gastroenteritis:
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Nausea or loss of appetite
Abdominal discomfort
Lethargy
Dehydration
Remedies & Care:
A bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice
Plenty of fresh water to prevent dehydration
Rest and limited activity
Veterinary consultation if symptoms persist or worsen
As a precaution, we have decided to temporarily reduce daycare capacity and pause daycare operations starting tomorrow through the holiday weekend. This will allow us to perform a deep clean and sanitize our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all our pups.
However, our hotel will remain open for guests who have travel plans or commitments that cannot be changed. We will continue to provide attentive care while maintaining heightened sanitation protocols.
We anticipate reopening daycare on Tuesday, March 18, and will provide updates if anything changes. If your dog has recently attended daycare and is showing any signs of illness, we encourage you to consult your veterinarian.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we take these proactive steps. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Wishing all of our furry friends health and happiness,
The Sit Social Daycare Team
