First and foremost—thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I’m so grateful for your continued trust, support, and love for this small, local, woman-owned business. Whether your pup comes in for daycare, enjoys a cozy hotel stay, or leaves our spa feeling fresh and fabulous, your support means everything. You’re the reason Sit Social exists, and we couldn’t grow without you.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes dreaming, planning, and building—and I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates about what’s happening in our little dog-loving corner of Chicago. Some changes are bold and sparkly (hello, Italian Greyhounds in couture!), while others are simply ways we’re improving to serve you and your pups even better.

🏨 New Overnight Hotel Options—Now More Flexible & Affordable

Every pup is different when it comes to how they sleep best—some crave cuddles and company, others love a quiet group nap or a cozy crate all to themselves. That’s why we’ve added two new overnight hotel experiences to give you more choices to match your dog’s personality and comfort level.

And no matter which option you choose, rest easy knowing that a Sit Social team member is always on-site 24 hours a day caring for hotel and daycare pups. While dogs in the Calm Room and Crated Stay areas are left to sleep independently downstairs overnight, a staff member is always upstairs in the building and available if needed. Here’s what’s now available:

🐾 Premium Cage-Free Hotel Loft – $125 / 24 hours Our most luxurious sleepover: an open-air loft upstairs with soft lighting, quiet vibes, and a human nearby all night long. It’s a perfect fit for social pups who love snuggling with the pack and being close to people. Our ultimate slumber pawty!

🌙 Deluxe Calm Room Shared Suite – $80 / 24 hours A peaceful, cage-free group setting located downstairs for independent dogs who enjoy a calm atmosphere. This 10x10 suite features Kuranda bunk beds and hosts a select group of 5–10 dogs based on size and temperament. Dogs in this option must be comfortable being left alone and not show signs of separation or vocal anxiety (we’ll evaluate this during their trial). Overnight, a team member is upstairs, and dogs in this suite sleep independently.

🛏️ Standard Crated Stay – $65 / 24 hours Some dogs love their crates—and this one’s for them. Our most affordable option, this stay is for fully crate-trained pups who relax best in their own space. Dogs sleep in our Dog Lounge from 9pm–7am with cozy bedding and white noise. As with the Calm Room, dogs are left to sleep independently, with a team member always present in the building upstairs.

These options give you the flexibility to meet your pup’s needs—without ever compromising on the love and safety we’re known for. Now available to book through our Gingr portal.

📅 Updated Drop-Off & Pickup Hours

As part of this evolution, we’re adjusting our daily pickup and drop-off hours to help streamline scheduling and improve flow:

Weekdays (Monday–Friday):

• Morning Drop-Off: 7:00am–10:00am

• Evening Pickup: 5:00pm–7:00pm

• Morning Drop-Off/Pickup: 8:00am–10:00am

• Evening Drop- Off/Pickup: 5:00pm–7:00pm

We appreciate your support as we fine-tune these hours to better serve everyone and reduce stress on the dogs and team by removing mid day interruptions to the pack! If your dog gets overstimulated and alerts a lot/very vocal - we recommend picking them up at 5pm to avoid additional stress on their day.

🐾 The Italian Greyhound Experience Is Almost Here!

If you’ve noticed a whimsical glow in our front lobby lately... you’re not imagining things! We’re getting ready to launch something truly special: The Italian Greyhound Experience—a joyful, immersive space where visitors can experience the happiness we feel every day being surrounded by a group of dogs.

This idea was born from a simple truth: people constantly tell us, “You have the dream job!”—being surrounded by dogs all day long. I wanted to take that joy and share it with everyone. That’s what this new experience is all about—bringing comfort, connection, and delight to the community by being surrounded by dogs.

These dogs happen to be my personal pack of ten fashion-forward, goofy, lovable Italian Greyhounds—Spaghetti, Meatball, Pesto, Polenta, Pizza, Breadstick, Ravioli, Risotto, Biscotti, and Gelato. (Yes, they’re all named after carbs—and yes, they’re just as fun as they sound!) They’re already capturing hearts online with their dog piles, outfits, and sweet spirits, and now they’ll be spreading that love in person.

The Italian Greyhound Experience is a first-of-its-kind ticketed event in Chicago. While this is a paid & scheduled experience open to the public, we’re committed to giving back in a meaningful way. Once we’re fully up and running, we’ll be sponsoring one special group each month to join us for a complimentary visit—including children’s hospital patients, seniors, and others who could use a little light and love in their lives.

These girls aren’t just cute—they’re heart-healers, joy-bringers, and mood-lifters. If you know of a local group or organization who could benefit from some dog-powered cheer, please reach out and share their story with us at bookings@theitaliangreyhoundexperience.com. We’d love to include them in our monthly give-back program.

We’ll be officially opening the experience to the public this summer, and we can’t wait for you to be part of it. If you have some friends or family coming to town we'd love to offer any current Sit Social client up to 4 complimentary tickets through September. The Experience, events, and offerings will continue to evolve and grow - so stay tuned for exciting things!

And don’t worry—our core dog care services at Sit Social remain our top priority amongst this new venture launching.

✂️ A Quick Pause on Full-Service Grooming

We’ve loved offering grooming as part of our services—it’s such a joy to help your pups look and feel their best. As a boutique space, we typically hire one dedicated groomer at a time, which means we occasionally have short pauses between team members.

Right now, we’re on a brief hold with full-service grooming (haircuts) as we search for the right person to join our team. In the meantime, we’re still offering luxury baths for pups who need a refresh, and we’ll notify you as soon as haircut appointments return.

We know grooming requires someone gentle, skilled, and aligned with our values—and we’re committed to finding just the right fit.
